ASecureCart Shopping Cart Service
- In 2005, a shopping cart system
designed and developed by Appagare Software was enhanced
and released under the name ASecureCart
(www.asecurecart.net).
The ASecureCart system is a feature rich shopping cart
service that allows merchants to sell products and services
from their web pages affordably, with no software to download
and no programming knowledge. Supporting many features
and payment gateways, the cart was also one of the first
systems to support PayPal's Website Payments Pro API.
In July of 2005, Donobi, a publicly
traded regional ISP, selected the ASecureCart system
as the cart provider of their e-commerce package. By
working with Donobi's web development team, Appagare
Software created XML Web Service and web application
solutions that allows Donobi to manage their e-commerce
customer's cart system through either their own web
interface or through ASecureCart's
Profile Manager. |

Washington State Department
of Licensing Fee Distribution system -
Appagare Software developed a client/server based solution
for capturing the distribution of all monies received
and distributed by the Department of Licensing. VB based
support processes populate SQL databases with fee information
while an intranet web application allows DOL staff to
reconcile and generate reports for millions of dollars
per month. A separate web application makes the information available to the
public. |

Washington State Department
of Licensing Online Tab Renewal -
Washington's Online
Tab Renewal site provides Washington State vehicle
owners the ability to renew their vehicle tabs online.
Appagare Software contributed to the development and enhancement
of this service which saves Washington State residents
time and taxpayer dollars by allowing users to efficiently
and securely renew their vehicle tabs at their convenience.
Features to this site include Organ Donar Awareness contributions
at the time of renewal and handling mandatory license
plate replacement requirements. |

Washington State
Department of Licensing Authorized system -
Continuing to assist the DOL's digital service offering,
Appagare Software developed web applications for insurance
companies, registered tow truck operators, and other
authorized businesses to report destroyed and abandoned
vehicles online. The Abandon Vehicle and the Destroyed
Vehicle reporting systems accept data online from
the web applications or via web services developed by
Appagare Software.

Washington State Patrol
to Department of Licensing Inquiry -
Whenever any law enforcement agency inquires on a Washington
state vehicle, driver or vessel, the Washington State
Patrol's (WSP) computer queries the Department of Licensing's
(DOL) SQL databases for additional information. Using
a system developed by Appagare Software for the Washington State Department of Licensing,
the WSP inquiry occurs over a proprietary TCP/IP connection
to a DOL Windows Service written in Visual Basic .NET.
Message management is handled using Microsoft Message
Queuing services. In addition to vehicles, drivers, and
vessels registered in the State of Washington, the system
is also used by law enforcement agencies to query on Disabled
Persons placards and firearms licenses. |

WSP - DOL Stolen Vehicles
Project - Whenever any vehicle
is reported stolen (or found) by a law enforcement agency,
the Washington State Patrol notifies the Department of
Licensing so the vehicle record can be flagged appropriately.
Using a Windows Service developed by Appagare Software,
the notifications are now received and processed automatically,
eliminating the manual process that required 3 shifts
7 days per week. |

License Plate Ordering
System - After using non-Appagare
resources for three months of a six month project, the
client did not have a workable solution. Appagare Software
was brought in to assist with this struggling project
and delivered a secure and scalable ASP.Net solution on
time and within budget. The ASP.Net order management system
allows state DMV office to submit and track custom and
stock license plates orders. Long running processes are
spawned on separate threads and batch monitoring jobs
automate common tasks. Initially designed for the state
of Missouri, additional states have been added to this
system. |

Disabled Persons -
Department of Licensing Intranet System
- Appagare Software created a web-based interface to replace
internal legacy mainframe programs that managed Washington
State's Disabled Persons plates and placards. Running
on an internal intranet, the browser based system automated
many tasks and improved usability of the system while
offering a scalable and secure solution. |
